Planning Process
The PRDM is focused on providing a public realm that meets the needs of the people of Abu Dhabi. Key to fulfilling this objective is understanding how the community views the public realm. During the planning process, various stakeholder meetings and a public survey were held to address community needs.
Stakeholder Meetings
Stakeholder meetings were conducted by UPC with key agencies involved in public realm planning, including:
- Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA)
- Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM)
- Al Ain Municipality (AAM)
- Department of Transportation (DOT)
During each meeting, participants discussed appropriate elements and tools to be utilized in the Manual.
