Introduction

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s representative in the Western Region, the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) in partnership with the Western Region Development Council (WRDC) and Western Region Municipality (WRM), will be conducting public consultation sessions for individual settlements of the Al Gharbia region with local Government authorities along with its residents, a next step towards formulating the urban framework, Plan Al Gharbia 2030.

This Public Consultation would be to achieve the following:

1. Inform and share with Al Gharbia residents the details of Al Gharbia 2030 plan as follows:
   1. Overarch principles
   2. Steps of preparing the plan & the current status
   3. Regional plans
   4. Settlements plan
   5. Type of quality services that they will have as a result of this plan
   6. Next steps
2. The sessions will include a section for participants to voice their views about the plan. Participants will also be asked to document their feedback by filling questionnaires that will be circulated by the designated coordinators during each particular session.
